What makes our paint different?
In simple terms, most modern paints use vinyl. High quality paints have more acrylic resins binders than vinyl paints.
Paints with a higher percentage of acrylic resin cost more to produce because vinyl is much cheaper than acrylic and is often used to mix with the acrylic to keep the cost of the paint lower. However, it is more complex than just keeping costs down; quality is compromised too.
Acrylic paints have more durability compared to vinyl paints and whilst many commercial paint companies make claims about durability mixing vinyl into an acrylic-based paint is likely to make it more porous and less durable than an acrylic-based paint. In addition there are varying levels of acrylic resins that can be used in paints. We do not skimp by using low quality resins in any of our products.

How we make our paint
All of our paints are hand produced from beginning to end using only the finest traditional pigments and minerals. Each order is measured, filled and labelled by hand in the UK
We keep some of the smaller pots in stock but anything larger than 150ml is custom-made.
The pigments and resins we use in our paint are only the highest quality from industry-leading suppliers some of which our paint makers have used for over 30 years due to the consistent supply of high-quality materials.
Our paints are high quality based on the percentage of volume solids and rich in pigment, cheaper paints may use more evaporating contents, that is water or solvent. We are proud that all our paints are VOC-free, water-based and provide a great, long-wearing result.

Harmony Furniture Paint (Ultra Matt)
A specially formulated mineral paint to achieve an extremely durable, chalky decorative finish. Available in 48 colours for woodwork, furniture and craft projects. Whilst self-sealing, It can be finished with the Harmony Clear Coat for added protection or traditional wax polish.
Available in 150ml test pot, 500ml jar and 1 litre pot.

Harmony Eggshell Finish
Harmony Eggshell Paint is a specially formulated paint to achieve an extremely Eggshell finish. Available in 48 colours for woodwork, and furniture. It gives a durable hard wearing finish. Can be used in the same way as Matt Furniture paint but for those who prefer a slight sheen. Utilising a tough acrylic binder system to give a durable hard wearing eggshell finish with superb opacity giving great depth of colour. With added Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). for extra protection allowing surface to be wiped and cleaned more easily. Also Ideal for kitchens and bathrooms. Does not need a varnish and can be used indoors our outdoors.
Available in 150ml test pot, 500ml jar and 1 litre pot.
Harmony Masonry Paint
Harmony Masonry Paint is an external water-based, smooth, premium quality masonry paint. Also available in 48 colours and custom matches.
Available in 2.5 and 5 litre pots.
Harmony Clear Coat
Water-based clear lacquer for use with Harmony Furniture Paint. To protect and waterproof your paint finish.
Available in 500ml and 1 litre pots.
Colour Charts
We provide hand painted colour charts so that you can be assured that what you see on the colour chart will be exactly what you get when you paint a room.
Colour charts display all the colours in our range. Colour Swatches, which are A4 in size and show one colour are also available.
